PLEASE i REALL need YOUR HElP!!!!!?

Please i really need you help im doing a Research paper at school and there was polish royalty and they ran away from poland because the zar of russia was trying to kill all of the monarchy and so they ran away no one knew were they were going but they only took what they could carry on them to come here to america. A son was left behind. I really need to find the family's name there has to be something and maybe im not looking hard enough but please look into it. I need the family's last name that's it. please help.
